Jeff Van Sickle, Executive Vice President, Texas Market Manager, Houston
Jeff Van Sickle is an experienced business development professional with a successful track record in sales and sales management. Prior to joining Briar Capital, Mr. Van Sickle served as a Zone Manager in Houston for Ford Motor Company where he was recognized for improving retail sales performance while enhancing customer service scores. Mr. Van Sickle is Past President of the Commercial Finance Association, Houston Chapter.
Vincent D. Cater, Senior Consultant, Georgia
Vince Cater is a career banker with more than 45 years experience in domestic and international banking.  He has worked for banks ranging from one of the world's largest to start-up community banks, and has served as president of four banks.  His career has been interspersed with several stints in specialized consulting for banks and Fortune 500 companies.  He has a very broad background in finance, international trade, community banking and factoring.
Scott Deal, VP, San Antonio
Scott brings a strong analytical background to Briar.  Prior to joining the company, Scott worked as a credit analyst for many years and most recently as a commercial loan officer.  His experience working for local Texas based banks makes him a valuable asset to the San Antonio and Austin markets.
Jeff Appleton, SVP, Georgia
Jeff brings 25 years of asset-based lending and 7 years of SBA lending experience to the Georgia office.  Prior to joining Briar, Mr. Appleton held senior lending positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co, TD Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank.  He began his career at Ernst & Whinney, held ABL audit positions at GE Capital, and handled underwriting at National Bank of Georgia/First American Bank.  Years of experience in underwriting, collateral analysis and business development are valuable assets in the Georgia market.
